Internship and traineeship programs are evolving

PRESS RELEASE
April 2018
Rotterdam – the Netherlands

Tandheelkunde Groep Nederland takes importance in education and training of students and (future) staff members. Over the past few years the group has developed programs that allow the growth of students through experience as well as providing career advancement. These programs meet the requirements put forth by the respective educational institutions of the students.

On the medical side, Tandheelkunde Groep Nederland recruits Dentists, Hygienists and Dental Assistants as interns or trainees before they move on in their career. Upon completion of their programs, interns who have shown a positive work ethic and are highly motivated are offered positions within the group. On May 1st 2018, which is Labour Day, 3 such interns who have completed their dental assistants’ training will begin their full-time positions in the group.

The internships at the headquarters of the group are of a business orientation, providing a broad range of fields of interest for interns. These fields include, asset management, finance, business development, marketing and graphic design. Can Ilgaz is responsible for the Internship Program at the headquarters in recruiting and coordinating interns. He was the group’s first intern and moved on to become a Junior Associate and a Business Developer thereafter.

Bachelor students interning at the headquarters have moved on to reputable educational institutions for their masters such as Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) and Oxford University. Master students enter the team in various fields and can finalise their studies, writing a thesis based on a group case.

Koen van den Houdt (Finance Intern)
MSc Finance at University of Amsterdam, completed his master thesis at the headquarters with a focus on a dental fund.

"During my first 3 months interning, I wrote my graduate thesis and finalized my MSc Finance. My colleagues were international and we worked on diverse projects and reported these directly to the CEO. This greatly advanced my professional development as well as providing me with a great career start."

Anastasiia Tupitcyna (Business Intern)
BSc International Business Administration (IBA) at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

"During my internship at the headquarters, I had an opportunity to work on deals in different industries, including healthcare and cosmetics. It was an invaluable experience that provided me with a steep learning curve and a high degree of exposure to senior professionals. It was a privilege to work with Mr Keles and his team."
