Tandheelkunde Groep Nederland applies high measures against COVID-19 virus and keeps doors open for emergency treatments

COVID-19 virus, which was first diagnosed in Wuhan, China, increased its effect in Europe at the beginning of March. The first case in Europe appeared on January 21st in Bordeaux, France. There is no country on the continent where the virus is not observed. Many countries, such as Italy and France, have imposed curfews. The World Health Organization described the outbreak as a pandemic. Scientific treatment researches have been launched worldwide.

COVID-19 virus, which shows its effect all over the world, is also observed intensely in the Netherlands. Government officials have implemented a number of measures to enable a controlled further spread of the outbreak. Among these measures are the closure of schools, bars, restaurants, cafes, and gyms. On the other hand, health institutions continue their activities in order to protect public health.

Tandheelkunde Groep Nederland restricted their treatments to emergency cases, in accordance with the recommendations of the health organizations and government measures. All clinics are open for emergency dental treatments. Tandheelkunde Groep Nederland’s clinics are prepared to treat the patients of the dentists who are not able to work due to the virus. Healthcare professionals in the group are using masks of the highest technological level and protective suits. Clinics are disinfected at regular intervals. For the public health of society, all measures have been taken to be at service.

Tandheelkunde Groep Nederland takes importance in the education and training of students and (future) staff members. Over the past few years, the group has developed programs that allow the growth of students through experience as well as providing career advancement. These programs meet the requirements put forth by the respective educational institutions of the students.

Besides providing opportunities in the medical areas, the group provides business development, finance, and marketing internship opportunities in its headquarters. Upon completion of their programs, interns who have shown a positive work ethic and are highly motivated are offered positions within the group.

Bachelor students interning at the headquarters have moved on to reputable educational institutions for their masters such as Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Oxford University, London School of Economics (LSE) and Bocconi University.

As my first internship experience, I have been given great opportunities to apply the knowledge from my bachelor studies into the real world. Together with international and Dutch colleagues and with the CEO, Mr. Keles, I have been able to gain vital insights into private equity and the medical industry, as well as improve my interpersonal and professional skills. I am very grateful to have been a part of this organization, helping kick-start my professional life.

During this period I learned a lot about market research and valuation as well as operations and management of our portfolio companies. Tandheelkunde Groep Nederland increases growth by expanding its activities into Bergen op Zoom region. The acquisition of Tandartsenpraktijk Schäffer has been realized per January 6st 2020. Tandheelkunde Groep Nederland will grow the capacity of the dental clinic by adding new treatment rooms and other investments. Alongside disciplines such as implantology, orthodontics and periodontology are included, whilst these services are provided 7 days a week. The group is honoured and glad to announce this cooperation with dentist Richard Schäffer as an experienced partner.

In December, 2019 Tandheelkunde Groep Nederland’s management visited the Greater New York Dental Meeting. This event provided a greater understanding of the market and opportunities to partner up with different suppliers as an expansion towards intercontinental scale.

The Greater New York Dental Meeting is a dental business fair hosted in New York attended by over 600 national and international manufacturers and distributors of dental healthcare equipment. 52.000 professionals from the dental industry joined this year to network, to discover the market and also attend accredited seminars. Being the largest dental fair in the United States, this year it was celebration the 95th anniversary.

VvAA is a collective, existing of healthcare professionals, established to support more than 123.000 members on urgent healthcare-related issues, for them to be able to execute their profession. VvAA has almost been active for 100 years.

Tandheelkunde Groep Nederland’s management is honoured and grateful to announce that the group has been awarded the title FD Gazelle 2019 by the Financieele Dagblad. The group has been given this title now for 2 consecutive years. The Financieele Dagblad is a newspaper echoing the style and audience targeting of the well-known Financial Times (FT) newspaper, for the Dutch market.

A company which is one the FD Gazellen is considered among the fastest growing companies in the Netherlands with over 20% year on year growth for 3 undisrupted years. Other criteria needed to carry this title are based on the financial health of the company.

All the criteria are:
● A turnover growth of at least 20% over a period of three years
● The turnover growth over the three-year period is uninterrupted
● In the first year turnover should be at least € 250.000
● Economically active on the 1st of January 2016
● The company must have been profitable in the preceding year to title and can only have sustained a net loss for one of the 2 years preceding the latter
● Companies must be financially sound

The group’s management would like thank all of it’s patients, staff members, suppliers and partners. All have had an important contribution towards this moment. On November 4th the group will have reached it’s 6th anniversary. Yet, a long path lies ahead and we are looking forward to reach more milestones. This growth has only been possible due to the group’s concentration on high quality service provision whilst also taking into account the company’s moral obligations to all stakeholders.

The Code of Conduct of Tandheelkunde Groep Nederland has officially been ratified by the management of the group. This document represents the values that the group embraces when it comes to its business conduct of and towards stakeholders and society. The Code of Conduct clearly underlines Tandheelkunde Groep Nederland’s responsibilities towards its employees. Values discussed include entrepreneurship, high-medical standards and empathy toward our patients and business partners. In addition to this the values of how business is conducted is also covered, uniting business professionals and medical specialists in order to provide the best medical solutions for our patients, which are also customized for every patient need.

The Code of Conduct is a set of conventions, principals and expectation that are taken into consideration by the leadership of an organization, which is aiming to encourage certain ethical behaviors to be followed by the group’s stakeholders.

Tandheelkunde Groep Nederland renovates and expands capacity of flagship dental healthcare clinic in Rotterdam

Tandheelkunde Groep Nederland’s flagship dental healthcare clinic, that was launched in November 2013 as the first location, has been fully renovated and reopened after a fortnight of closure. During the temporary shutdown, a mobile dental healthcare clinic was set up in front of the branch so that the dental healthcare treatments of our patients would not be put on hold. In addition to the renovation of the rest of the dental healthcare clinic, the capacity has been enlarged by increasing the amount of treatment rooms. This expansion and renovation will accommodate further market growth, which is dynamic in the surrounding areas.

In the Feyenoord municipality, the dental healthcare clinic has a unique location where it is situated close to the Erasmus bridge, Rotterdam South district’s marketplace and the Rijnhaven metro station. Tandheelkunde Groep Nederland’s value proposition, unique location, alongside a strong market demand have gained the dental healthcare clinic an approximate 8% of market share.

Lakeside Collection becomes member of ‘Vereniging Bedrijfscollecties Nederland’ (VBCN)

Lakeside Collection is growing its presence in the art sector and, therefore, became a member of the ‘Vereniging Bedrijfscollecties Nederland’ (Netherlands Association of Corporate Art Collections). In doing so, the collection will further materialize its contribution to the art market and community. This facilitates sharing of knowledge with, and also learning from, other corporate collections all the while being able to collaborate with these collections in various artistic endeavors, such as exhibitions.

The VBCN is an independent, non-profit knowledge network for Dutch companies and public and semi-public institutions with a policy of building art collections. The VBCN comprises 50 organisations holding corporate art collections and 100,000 works of art. Its members bring a large and diverse audience in contact with art and forge new connections between art and society. This makes the VBCN a distinctive player in the world of culture.

Thanks to corporate collections, hundreds of thousands of employees in the Netherlands come into contact with contemporary fine art every day. Corporate collections affect between 10 and 20 per cent of the contemporary art market in the Netherlands and thus help to drive the field’s development. By loaning works to museums, corporate collections help to make dozens of exhibitions possible each year.
